Haidut has mentioned certain safe limits for amino acids such as glycine, which is around 60-80 grams a day.
So, let's take 60-80 grams of glycine and add that to a protein source, say a gallon of milk.
That's the limit for the day.
However, what if one wants to get the effects of glycine on antagonizing serotonin/improving cognition as well, by supplementing it with sugar but without a protein source. The same applies for taurine as a GABA agonist.
Will this promote toxicity, or does the protein matrix create a different profile for the initial dosage of glycine, so the interactions will remain separate?
