Any tips for someone who gets sick when they travel to high altitude? I thought there was a thread about this somewhere, but can't find it.

If a lack of C02 is the problem, then I might suggest bag breathing, but other than that, I'm not sure what to suggest.

Interestingly, this person did not get as sick the last time he went... and he used one of those bottles of oxygen throughout the trip. Maybe it was just a coincidence that he didn't get sick that time, but the oxygen was the only major thing different from previous trips to high altitude.

Hi Katty
'some altitude experiences ' under testimonials is a short thread about my husband's altitude sickness. If that helps.

Ray says Diamox is very helpful.

Also, sugar, aspirin, coke and niacinamide.
Thanks! I'll make sure to have him try these things.
