I think I have gastroparesis. I’m not able to eat any solid food anymore, and even liquids get stuck. Nothing that has helped before is helping anymore.
I am going to push to see a GI doctor. As far as I know the only thing that can study motility is barium swallow, eating radioactive eggs. And the smart pill, but I’ve been told you can’t do that until you’ve confirmed no blockages (the pill can get stuck). So you need a colonoscopy/endoscopy to qualify you for smart pill. And if there is a blockage or stricture in the small intestine, they will have to do a bowel surgery to retrieve it (undesirable for obvious reasons).
is there any other way to study motility other than methods listed above?
