My personal experience is consistent with this. Getting between me and my dinner is not a good idea. When I get cross with my kids, it's more often when I'm hungry. I've known this for a long time, about me at least. In retrospect, it may have also applied to the people I got into strife with.

Ditto for me too...if Mama is hungry ain't nobody happy. It's actually waaaay better now, but years ago boy oh boy, look out!
