Affordable Red Led Panels In The UK?

Hi

I just wondered if anyone knew of cheap suppliers of visible red led panels in the UK. I bought a near infra red hand held device from the Red Light Man a year ago, which is great, but his prices have gone up around 30% in the last year. I can't really afford the Joov either. I've checked out ebay, but all of the grow lights I've seen are a mix of red and blue and some even have UV now.

Any advice appreciated.

would infrared bulbs be as beneficial as an LED light ?

250w clear bulb , e27, and brooder can be bought in the UK for 20 pounds

is there confusion between people using LED and people using infrared lights ?

Thanks for reply. I use a heat lamp as well, especially for pain and general health and there is some red and near infrared in it, but not as much as specialist led type lamps. I'm experimenting with getting the mitochondria going so need to concentrate on red visible and near infrared for that.

According to the last image on their product it says 8800 lux at 20 inches, after looking around for a bit and doing some calculating it seems like 10 mins at a foot distance might be alright. I'll start with 5 mins twice a day and go from there.

830 nm is a good wavelength for things that are deeper, like the brain, muscles, inner ear, organs etc. But I use 660 nm, which is visible red, for things like skin/scalp or for more delicate things like testicles. Be careful not to overdose though. I try to keep below 5J/cm2 per session.

What happens when you overdose?

It is a biphasic dose response: At first you lose some of the benefits, then all the benefits, but there could be some damage as well at very high levels. If you stay under 5J/cm2 you know you are getting benefit. I try to keep power density under 50 mW/cm2 as well.
