Hallo,

Was wondering if anyone had tipps advise on helping injurys as a result of trauma heal better/faster?
Im my case i have torn my medial knee ligament....

I already ready follow peats nutritional guidelines as well as i can with my knowledge and resources.....
my diet pretty much consists of plenty of oj or fruit(when rip fruit is available), sugar, salt, milk/cheese, gelatine, bone brothes, eggs, bacon, prawns/white fish, dates, potatoes, occational sweetpotatoe, coconut oil, coffee, ice cream, butter, my daily carrot, dont really do grains as they dont agree with me ;-) small amount of muscle meat are still included but always with gelatine
only supps at the mo are asprin and some bicarb, still wait on my thyroyd to arrive

Would toppical magnesium help injury heal? any other ideas?

Thanks steve :):

If I ever get another injury, I plan on trying red light therapy for it. There is some really good information about it on the red light thread, and also the link below.

Well, this is a deep subject!

For an injury, I would want to go with an LED array around the 660-680nm wavelength because of it's deep penetration. I have been looking at this array for the last couple days online, but not sure its the way to go. I might pull the trigger in the next few days and give it a shot. I am wondering what narouz thinks of it??

If I had the big bucks, which, I don't, I would purchase the LED array from Mike(I think thats his name) over at http://www.heelspurs.com. Here is a link to the LED array he sells:

Or, If I could pull myself together enough to do it. I would make my own, and it would be HUGE!

I don't know how peaty it is but I find rubbing DMSO into the area helps with pain and makes injuries heal faster. You can use the DMSO to push in progesterone or arnica.

Look into Dr. Kelly Starrett's work. He wrote a book about resolving pain and preventing injury. He is a big cross-fit advocate, but he truly understands the amount of damage that it causes, so he takes a scientific approach to high level recovery.

He is a physical therapist from his education, and a lot of his myofascial release and stretching techniques have helped me tremendously, particularly with back and knee pain.
