Haidut - Thank you for this writeup. I just copied it for my husband to read. He takes 1000mg thiamin upon awakening. Then, 1000mg again about 1/2 after lunch. He has been doing this a la Dr Costantini for Parkinson's symptoms with great results.

He also takes aspirin and niacin amide, so your article is great reinforcement. He is 86 and people that age are susceptible to... Lots of Stuff. Thanks again.

Oh, things were posted while I wrote. Will take a look.

Good to know... I just wrote more of an update on another B1 thread. The thread about problems with B1. My husband does not have sleep problems with B1 and I explained that in that other thread.

green tea extract has already been confirmed to lower carbonic anhydrase. the ECGC or EGCG whatever its called is an inhibitor. pomegranate has also been confirmed to have carbonic anhydrase inhibiting effects. caffeine and apigenen were also confirmed to be inhibitors.
the problem with green tea and ecgc are they also have anti 5 alpha reductase effects so its not considered as safe. also the ecgc supplements have liver toxicity effects too. maybe the anti 5Ar effects are related to liver toxicity. but I think I remember reading that egcg is also anti aromatase and it also helps excrete or bind to iron in the intestine.
do you know if black cumin/nigella sativa requires the seed for the CA inhibition, or would the oil have an even stronger better effect for this? oils are concentrated and contain more of the thymoquinone and other fat components... but lack the outer shell, the fiber and protein of the seed.

Still alive, and no tumor in the lungs, nor any metastases. She was declared terminal in January 2020.
Any update on her ?
