Hello,

i am taking NDT since 4 months (pimpom).

Now i have raised my ndt dosage from 3 to 5 grains on 15th july, because body temp was very low and i was very desperated.

my body temp:

15,7.--96,62 F --> raised ndt from 3 to 5
16.7. ------
17.7.------
18.7. ------
19.7---97,34
20.7---97,88
21.7---96,44 (did not sleep much)
22.7---97,52
23.7---97,52

should i raise ndt again or try to take cynomel, in stead?

pulse is around 80 and tsh was 2,94 on june, 27. (took 2 grains), so very high tsh.

Thanks.

From the log, your temperatures are trending higher in only eight days since adjusting the amount. It is generally better to assess things over a time period in the range of three weeks or more, if things are not drastic.

(You might search the forum for perspective about optimal temperature measurement methods.)

If not already doing so, please make sure you are dividing the total amount of NDT throughout the day, so smaller amounts are taken at least three to four times per day. This makes the short-acting T3 portion of NDT delivered more steadily.

Thanks.

I am eating on average 3000 calories a day, but i loose weight - 1 pound a week. But i am sedentary and overweight, that is curious.
I am dividing my ndt into 3 doses:
2-2-1

I´ll wait another 2 weeks.

Have you tried increasing sugar and lowering fat? I had the same problem, but a low pulse rate. I had to significantly increase my sugars (up to 1Kgrams--i'm pretty active so). I was taking 6grains of thyroid and pulse was still in low 70s high 60s. A couple days of extremely high carbs and low fat..my pulse rate rose to mid to high 80s. (its helped more than NDT)
