Let us know how it goes. The more I look at this chart. The more I think Macros are irrelevant, obviouesly avoiding pufa and too much fat. Seems like sun light and all the mitochondrial tools (Bs, Selnium, mag, potassiums, mangans) Should cure most of our issues.

If we are deficient in any of these, the cycle literally stops and ATP is drastically reduced and we go COLD.

I am doing B-50 complex with extra 50mg of B1 due to the extreme importance in glucose oxidation and the fact that it is so depleted by Coffee and Alcohol and Empty Carbs

No dude, the other way round, macros count; our bodies are mainly composited from them, not micros, and micros are just there to utilize them at all..

Macros are the LOG but the tinder and sparks(micros) are needed to burn those logs.

A ton of People here can't spark their logs no matter what they eat.

still get cold feet. Its 100% related to amdrenaline. I mean i could be doing eveything to relax and the only thing that will warm them up so far. Thc high. Alcohol buzz or sleep. Man seconds before i sleep i can feel them get warmer and warmer.

Its like i have a switch to constrict the moment i wake up and do stuff

Just sounds like low thyroid. I have the exact same - limbs always cold, excessive peripheral vasoconstriction, heart rate is quick to spike from minor stress, etc - but whenever I take thyroid, my extremities immediately warm up. Unfortunately I can't tolerate it indefinitely because it gives me pressure behind the eyes and vertigo.

I felt pretty decent after. I’ll stick with taking it 2-3x a week for now. Also thinking of adding small dose of lipoic acid, like 25mg, same frequency.

Just got my B vitamin complex in the mail from Thorne, opened a pill and dumped it in a water bottle to start sipping on. Thanks for the idea!

Don't forget Methylene Blue as a Mitochondrial 'tool' 1-2mg dose is 'safe'.

So are mine. TSH is 1.5, mid-range fT4 and top quarter range fT3. Thyroid is the only things that’s ever warmed my extremities, and I’ve tried every single thing recommended here: aspirin, b-vits, caffeine, pregnenolone, DHEA, etc, etc.

blood tests only show what’s in the blood, not the tissue where thyroid acts. Various animal studies show serum T3 is different from tissue due to issues with uptake.

I don’t think this needs to b complex. Just take a b complex.:smug:

But when I look at b complexes, the ratios are all over the place. Not consistent, which makes it hard to know which to buy. For example, Thorne stress b complex has a shitload of b5 and b12, relative to b2 and b3. I guess we just need to experiment?

I also ordered bulk supplements and plan to make my own, using Energin’s ratios as a template.

interesting. Then why would taking thyroid help. Wouldnt itnjust increase blood levels. Not tissue levels?

I honestly don't know the actual mechanism. If there's something inhibiting uptake or utilization inside the cell, I'd imagine just having more thyroid in general would help overcome whatever's causing the issue, similar to how a ligand can still overcome the effects of a competitive antagonist if it's concentration is raised high enough.

All I can report is that no type of food, supplement or non-thyroid hormone (have taken preg, dhea, testosterone, exemestane, anastozole, proviron and hcg) has ever improved my body temp, but a single dose of 3.125mg T3 + 12.5mg T4 (1/4 of a dithyron pill) will have my usually ice-cold lower limbs radiating heat, and my underarm temp from 36.5 -> 37c within thirty minutes. This is all with thyroid blood tests that look great on paper.

Why and what ratios did you use?
Why wouldn't I?

I used these amounts:
600 mg thiamine HCl
500 mg pantothenic acid
200 mg pyridoxine HCl
500 mg niacinamide
100 mg riboflavin
01 mg biotin
02 mg 5-MTFR
01 mg cyanocobalamin

Any positive effects? Mine arrives today.

Nothing overtly noticeable from the B1 alone. I have been taking 1/2 tsp of the bulksupplements thiamine hcl powder daily. However, the comments section on Amazon if the product is brimming with positive experiences.

This might explain why someone new to the Peat diet (like me) adds a bunch of sugar and carbs and coffee, feels good for a few weeks or months, then feels worse. Gradual depletion of B supply, or another nutrient

This is very likely the case. Sugar/Fructose and coffee burn through b1 like a flamethrower, add in some alcohol or white rice and you'll be deficient in no time.

I picked up a 12 pack of red bull sugar free( I know there some bad stuff in there, this is an experiment and I didn't want the extra sucrose) to avoid coffee for a few days. I had two 8oz cans this morning and am sipping my B's. Toes are toasty warm, no jitter's or ice toes from the coffee.

We need more research on the B1 binding acids in coffee as well as some of the adrenaline activating compounds.
