Cabbage Juice. My Secret Weapon

I have Sebborehic dermatitis. I saw posted on a forum that someone was recommended by his doctor to take 100 mg of asprin a day ( having nothing to do with his Seb Derm). After two months of taking asprin it vanished. I wanted to try this but whenever I would take Asprin, I would get the worst gut pain. I figured this was due to having a compromised gut and that my stomach could not handle it. I tried all the tips, baking soda, disolving it,gelatin, but none helped.
I could tolerate white willow bark powder, but it tasted horrible and had side affects.
I had come across a lot of anecdotal information on the power of cabbage juice for healing the stomach but never paid much attention to it until one day I had the thought to have the asprin with cabbage juice. IT WORKED! No pain when taking the asprin. I was so excited that I got cocky and decided to up my dose to a full tablet(I was taking half a tablet before) I also stopped the cabbage juice. Not a great choice stomach started hurting again. I am now back on the cabbage juice( with no asprin, waiting a bit before I start again) and let me tell you I feel very good about myself. Minimal anxiety, very confident and just and overall optimistic feeling about life. I will update this when I resume the asprin in conjuction with the cabbage juice. Here is a study on Cabbage Juice and it's ability to heal ulcers.
I am also on day 73 of not looking at porn, and have, not had to supress my sexual nature due to having someone to be with. This is the longest I have ever gone and am confident I will not be looking back. I mention this because It might be playing a part in why I feel happy.

Are you juicing it yourself? Red or green cabbage? I have been noticing coleslaw has been healing my gut after lots of pain from dun dun dun...ORANGE JUICE. I think I have an ulcer or had one or whatever.

I think lowering serotonin (via aspirin, OJ, tobacco, hydrogenated CO, etc.) will cause ulcers if you are under stress. Serotonin limits the fight or flight stress response and prevents bleeding, but what it is doing is just turning off your energy mobilizing systems because it is a signal that trying to escape from your stress is futile.

Cabbage juice in particular is very anti-thyroid so I definitely think it is plausible that it is working by raising 5HT.

I juice the cabbage myself. I use green cabbage. It also has a great affect on bowel movements. I drink one cup a day. Maybe juicing and not eating all of the fiber etc makes it a good choice. This is more anecdotal evidence on the power of cabbaje juice.

It is very goitrogenic. I am sure it has huge benefits against ulcers but it can suppress thyroid.

When I get a stomach upset from aspirin I begin having 1 tablespoon of honey first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and nothing else for an hour. For a few days in a row. That takes care of it and my stomach is no longer hurting when I have aspirin. I think the honey regimen kills H. Pylori which causes the upset in the first place.

Are the goitrogenic effects lessened when the cabbage is fermented?

Anybody here actually ever get rid of an Ulcer? I have one which was not caused by H Pylori but heavy alcohol use. I am wondering if this cabbage juice would help but I do know it is goitregenic.

My cabbage soup phase was a major setback for me. I bought a variety that looks almost exactly like Kale and I assumed it was the same thing. Bad luck, but now I know better. After I stopped my urine still smelled like cabbage for months.

If a whole cup of cabbage juice has good effects on stomach but is goitrogenic, I wonder whether much less - eg 10- 30 ml would do much of the job with less risk?

Any luck with cabbage juice for anyone else? I'm sure the effects are transient so after healing the ulcer one can just stop and thyroid should bounce back.

Maybe it's the glutamine that is doing the fixing or the sulfur compounds, either way those factors could be isolated and administered to see if it also works. Another thing to consider is that both compounds are rather stable when cooked so making a cooked cabbage broth may be just as effective without such a potent goitrogen effect.

Using tripe soup may also be a good method of healing the gut, like treats like with organs it seems. Seems more valid than the plant world equivalent at least ie walnut for brain etc.

Im currently using cabbage juice and there does seem to be some magic with it.

It stops pain fairly quickly.

Will stop as soon as possible to prevent potential thyroid issues.

There are so many different Scoville rankings of cayenne. Some are very mild some are melt your face off spicy, I wonder if there is some consensus on the fact. So me I think its literally cauterizing the wound int he stomach. I think that type of irritation chronically can cause gastric cancer. Some Asian countries have high stomach cancer rate from hot fermented food consumption, or at least thats the claim.

Short term it might be worth a try, but considering how much even OJ hurts sometimes its tricky wanting to down a teaspoon of cayenne... plus maybe itll heal an ulcer, but itll cause a mushroom cloud in the toilet.

Looks promising , it worked in a quick timeframe which is motivating . pain relief in 3-6 days and healed by 7-14. or in rarer cases 4 weeks for large ulcers.
apparently its the sulfur compound s-methylmethionine aka vitamin U responsible Accelerated Wound Healing by S-Methylmethionine Sulfonium

. 750ml - 1L cabbage juice daily . good tip on avoiding the fiber i bet the gas is crazy if you blend it instead of juice. might be able to filter it if blending. would be high potassium content tho idk if food form is ok for ulcers lower down in intestine maybe , and high in k1 which is a problem with negative mood for some.
thats a lot of cabbage
so 1-2 green or white cabbage heads for the 750ml-1L, store in fridge, split into 5 drinks daily , and probably best to take thyroid while using it

Update for an ileal ulcer ,

Looked like it had good potential so I bought a juicer tried it properly after that post. but didn't heal the wound. actually this made it noticeably worse with a massive increase in burning.

So i don't think it works for ulcers lower down maybe just for gastric ulcers which people report good response to. or maybe i didnt react well to all the polyphenols lowering cellular iron further or something idk
