Hello everyone i started a post about excessive sweating recently and most of the replies where about increasing sodium intake to combat sweating excessively .

So i decided to start drinking 1 tsp of baking soda(sodium bicarbonate) in water.

But the experience is very bizarre after like 10 minutes of ingesting the baking soda i get the feeling that
i don't need to breath.

its very weird i just feel like taking a shallow breath every 10 seconds or so.
I cant really say i feel calm actually its kinda scary even though i don't feel like breathing i'm always thinking
"this can't be normal" and i end up forcing my self to breath more even though i don't feel like it.

is this reduced stress from salt or increased CO2 or something else entirely?

it might all be in my head but the effect is very profound.

Thanks in advanced : ))).

Yeah, I think your thinking is correct. You would have increased CO2 and thus more oxygen delivered to your tissues through the Bohr effect. Then it could be that your bodies regulatory systems are not quite used to this sudden change, perhaps it will take a few days before it accepts the new normal blood chemistry. I think it sounds like a change in the right direction.

Have you read normalbreathing.com?
