Part 1:
Hi. Any baseballs fans here? These posts will be most focused on baseball.
Bats ( baseball bats ) are a cryptic reference to Alcohol/fermenting, sort of,.. I’ll explain my line of thinking
B and V are linguistically equivalent in Spanish, plus The character B is what they use for a V sound in Russian and other Cyrillic alphabet languages. So one can think of Bat as Vat, you know, Vats used for fermentation...
Vats were once made out of wood only, and this is still what is used at the highest level, but the more modern vat is metal ( like modern baseball bats ).
So... think about the parts of a baseball bat and how they relate to alcohol in some way,
Barrel ( many hard alcohols/wine are aged in wood barrels ), Handle ( of vodka etc. ), Grip ( Gär-ip, from gären in German “to ferment” ). Knob ( like on a vat for controlling temperature etc. )
During wine fermentation, “Beeswing” ( B-swing?) forms as an precipitate that crystallizes from the Wine, this is later purified into cream of tartar ( potassium bitartrate ). Think about that the next time you see someone “swinging” the Vat/Bat.
The Batter doesn’t hold the bat, the Vat holds the
Vater/Water ...and the Mother ( yeast/ bacteria culture ). Get it? Holding Vat for alcohol filled with Water and Yeast. Batter holding bat is actually Batter-holding Vat ( batter also means a mixture of starch/sugar and water like as in cookies/cake ).
Just a few extemporaneous thoughts on early morning June 5th
