ive started taking taurine with a magnesium supplement, however I find that I am very dry and becoming dehydrated. It's strange though I I don't feel thirsty. The skin on my hands and cuticles is cracking and peeling, and I'm getting muscle cramps. Any thoughts of what I can try?

Are you also supplementing vitamin a or eating liver? Excess vitamin a can cause dry skin, and taurine increases absorption of fat soluble vitamins so it could be causing you to take up too much.

I'm not supplementing A, but I am eating liver-usually only 2oz per week- would this be enough?

I get wounds inside my nostrils from taurine, beta-alanine reverses it. Taurine and beta-alanine compete for uptake.

@aliciahere I think is from overdose of taurine.
I also got peeling on my fingers and dry skin on my face.
My dose of taurine was 2g 3xday and I started to have diarrhea too so I had to stop and after a week my fingers are starting to heal but the skin on my face is still dry.
It really mess me up this taurine experiment.
