Cognitive and anti-depressant effects of Seligiline • r/Nootropics

Good comments from PragmaticPulp. He is truly pragmatic (realistic).

I don't remember seeing comments like that 3 years ago.

As far as I'm concerned, the nootropics sub is broken.

Regardless of what I comment there, I'm guaranteed to have at least one person tell me I'm an idiot.

So it's natural that I don't like that sub anymore.

I don't like Reddit, it's controlled.

Bottle-fed babies in my experience tend to be more cynical and way more intellectual/analytical.

Lots of anecdotal evidence from my life.

Got sick fast last week. Respiratory irritation.

Alternating fever. Felt pretty bad.

Last time I got sick like this was when I lived in a big city.

@tara Yeah I'm pretty sure a lamb would have high DPPC.

I wonder if DPPC eaten would do much.

I am curious if populations that eat haggis are more or less healthy.

Inflammatory markers, things like Prostaglandin E2, may be creating a strong positive charge in a damaged region, and thus creates a charge gradient which allows healing...? Maybe.

Yea, and it's nice to be ahead of that. Instead of a full-time fireman screaming "fire!"

Sometimes it seems like people ask for citations/sources for reasons other than wanting proof of the data and claims.

I used to ask teachers where the energy for gravity came from. They'd always just say "potential energy" and try to change the subject (for real).

When I would ask again and ask where that energy came from they'd always find a way to weasel out of it.

One teacher rolled her eyes and didn't answer, another said we were "off task" and changed the subject, another thoughts I was making fun of her and asking stupid questions on purpose. To be honest that pissed me off.

When you look up potential energy on Wikipedia, you are led to gravitational energy.

...Which is just another dead end. So much misdirection.

Answers like this are typical.

Sometimes you'll have someone explain that gravity is similar to a stretched rubber sheet with heavy and light objects on it.

The heavy objects bend the sheet and thus pull the lighter ones to them.

But this itself relies on gravity, turtles all the way down.

I wonder how warped space time pulls objects along.

Acne gone. Hair loss completely stopped. Fatigue is much better. Mood is alright. Excessive BO gone. Teeth seem to be improving (less clear, more white, little to no pain).

Eating a lot of PUFA. Cut dairy out.

Still using caffeine and nicotine in excess.

Mood is still an issue but there's reasons other than physical health for that.

I eat either chicken and rice and hummus bathed in oil or French fries fried in soybean oil:D daily.

I use health natura tocopherols some days in large doses to mitigate problems.

In general I eat a lot of PUFA now. Some days in the morning I'll have rice and eggs with sesame or avocado oil (no particular reason, they're just the most convenient oils I have access to atm).

I take it you don't agree with the premise that PUFAs are damaging to your metabolism?
Just curious as this seems to be the one thing that people on this forum agree on.

What is the reasoning behind your choice?
Do you believe that the negative effects are overblown?
Are you experimenting with antithesis ideas to see how deep the rabbit hole goes?

I'm not judging or anything.
I just come from a background where I ate large amounts of PUFA for years until I deteriorated into something dysfunctional.
Not saying correlation means causation but we are on Ray Peat forum.

If money, family and culture were not a factor would you eat the same way?
