Can Alcohol Consumption Reduce Endotoxin Load If Taken After Eating?

Just asking if someone has noticed a better overall digestion with the consumption of "clean" alcohol (vodka, whiskey) after eating? I am talking about small doses, not binge drinking. I have been experimenting with this in the last days and the improvement is noticeable in terms of well-being.

Because it relaxes you

And my libido skyrocket in a dhtarian way (lol), contrary to the old times when no amount of sex or porn could calm my mind (estrogenic), and my temperature and pulse get optimal, all simptoms of a good metabolism. Let's see how it goes in a few days.

I always wondered if vodka killed bad bacteria in the stomach. I would notice days after drinking my acne would improve?

Alcohol can help sterilize food in the stomach with a meal. If you're eating well cooked and clean food it's pointless. But at restaurants or when somebody else is serving stuff like fresh salads and medium-rare meat I make a point of having a couple drinks with it. It's not about cleaning the gut, it's about making sure you don't pick up new critters and wind up with the shits or other problems.

What I wonder about is if getting a decent buzz on from time to time could be systemically anti-bacterial and help with infections. I have seen no evidence one way or the other.

Alcohol definitely increases intestinal permeability and endotoxins burden. It's not hard to find the studies online and they all say the same thing. I haven't gone too deep though maybe lower doses than the study's doses have the opposite effect?

I've experienced better digestion after vodka too. I think it might be the drying effect of alcohol that reduces water in stools so they form better.

I've also experienced the increased libido. Some say it's a direct effect of estrogen, some say it's a morning rebound of testosterone after drinking estrogenic alcohol. Would love to get to ththe bottom of both those issues.

All the studies that I have seen are done with binge drinking, nothing close to a reasonable amount.

Yeah it seems like it. But for what it's worth: I even get the improved digestion after 6 or 7 vodkas which is really binge drinking.

Possible, but alcohol activates TLR-4 independent of endotoxin.

Haidut has mentioned TLR-4 agonists of this type may be endotoxin mimetic.

From TLR-4 Wikipedia page,

A link between the TLR 4 receptor and binge drinking has been suggested. When genes responsible for the expression of TLR 4 and GABAreceptors are manipulated in rodents that had been bred and trained to drink excessively, the animals showed a "profound reduction" in drinking behaviours.[27] Additionally, it has been shown that ethanol, even in the absence of LPS, can activate TLR4 signaling pathways.[28]

Short and pin-point....
That is why you also get an effect on libido.
A parasympathic state is needed for:
- digestion
- sex drive
- immune system.

When you need a more sympathic state for action, even sport, then the body takes the energy by moving its focus.

Do not forget that stress is a major issue for the immune system! Relaxing cannot be attained without a real relaxation, I mean without alcohol or any other substance. Any past activation just need to be discharged. Then the rest of your body just take care and regulates by itself. All micromutrients will balance themselves much better and easier.
The real discharge of past stress is just very difficult to achieve, that is why we use a lot of replacements to reach a temporary goal.
