What Would You Suggest For BPH Prostate Trouble?

I guess something like the following should be pretty effective in reducing prostate issues:

Caffeine, Orange juice, Banaba leaf to increase insulin sensitivity and diuretic activity, tighten SHBG concentration.
Butter to increase cholesterol the precursor to progesteron.
Broccoli, Parsley, Aspirin to inhibit aromatase conversion into estrogens, but increase vit k.
Vitamin b6, Tribulus terrestris, L-carnitine, Beta-sitosterol to increase androgens and displace estradiol from binding to SHBG.

Im not sure if one should include a little Resveratrol in here and when...
It can increase output of SHBG from the liver, so androgens could have more chance to bind and keep T stable and also excrete estrogens. But as there are high estrogens to begin with and so have upped SHBG, it is already high but could be occupied on tissues.
So, I hope the liver will respond to modulate the SHBG by itself while the estrogens are being excreted...
therefore a blood test whould be nice to see how SHGB is doin.

Enlarged prostate could have too low zinc levels in the tissue.
You can increase this by supplement or oysters, and also increasing copper with cacao, to counter balance zinc.
btw, beta-sitosterol is in nettle-roots you need the roots.

You do not want to reduce DHT with that. It could lower the 5AR gene expression leading to long term disruption of 5AR function and low DHT.
I think, it is better to keep DHT, for it can be used to displace estradiol from acting via SHBG-R on tissue like prostate.

If you do want to reduce conversion of DHT, to sustain T levels, then one should inhibit 5AR with zinc or black tea. This is pretty safe. As too much inhibition of 5AR will be compensated for via 3a-diol -> DHT conversion.

Thats alright, when lowering estrogens via aromatase you also want to lower conversion of T into DHT somewhat, to keep T in balance, coz T also displace estrogens from SHBG for T has the highest affinity of binding to it.
good so we should not worry about drinking 1 tbsp of olive oil every day ?

While in this study it is clear beta-sitosterols reduce estrogen induced tumor growth
β-Sitosterol, β-Sitosterol Glucoside, and a Mixture of β-Sitosterol and β-Sitosterol Glucoside Modulate the Growth of Estrogen-Responsive Breast Cancer Cells In Vitro and in Ovariectomized Athymic Mice | The Journal of Nutrition | Oxford Academic


Dietary BSS, BSSG, and MC did not stimulate MCF-7 tumor growth. However, dietary BSS, BSSG, and MC reduced E2-induced MCF-7 tumor growth by 38.9% (P < 0.05), 31.6% (P = 0.08), and 42.13% (P < 0.05), respectively. The dietary phytosterols lowered serum E2 levels by 35.1, 30.2, and 36.5% in the E2 + BSS, E2 + BSSG, and E2 + MC groups, respectively (P < 0.05), compared to that of the E2 treatment group

Nope, in fact al little olive oil and its oleic acid, is good filling oil against obesity:

yes DHT is also blamed for prostate problems and hair loss ..

In Dr Peat's article on the prostate cancer (at the end of it), he recommends vitamin A, trace minerals and adequate animal protein.

An inflamed/swelling prostate is probably down to an infection or from ongoing/chronic intestinal inflammation/leakiness (Haidut did a thread on it). He recommended TL4 antagonists and things that promote gut motility, IIRC. Oh, and things that help gut lining stability, like gelatin.

The prostate is a very rich polyamine gland. Polyamines increase proliferation. Follow @Travis and my threads on how to reduce polyamines...Get your PSA checked
