Just read a book on the fiasco around Krebiozen, Even though it was very effective against cancer, the AMA decided to bury it and everyone involved with it. The author of the book was actually black balled by the New York Times, who would not even advertise his book under threat of the AMA.

This was in the early 1950's so nothing has changed, it has only gotten worse.
