Evidence That Progesterone Raises Glutamate?

Some people (including gbolduev) have claimed that progesterone raises glutamate. I have combed through about half a dozen studies, and I can find no confirmation of this theory. It seems to lower glutamate in all cases.
I find it worrying that so many people believe this, but I have read it so often from random people that it made me question if it might somehow be physiologically possible.
Any thoughts on this?

Glutamate is excitatory, has anyone felt stimulated by progesterone? It typically makes people drowsy. Seems false to me.
