Convulsions. Prescribing PPI. Why?

Dog is experiencing “idiopathic” seizures. So why is a PPI prescribed? Omeprazole 10mg for a 10 kilo dog.

I don't know why a PPI would be prescribed. But I give my dog at least 20 grams of gelatin/collagen and about 100mg of glycine each day. She is 76 lbs. I think the glycine especially helped stop the seizures. Maybe the PPI would be to help calm the gut?
