Hello friends,
I have been suffering from a skin irritation after having the back of my neck shaved at a barber shop.
Initially the itch / irritation was constantly. Now I only suffer from it when wearing some kind of a collar. This has been going on for 6 month now without further healing after the inital 1-2 week period.
Not being able to wear collars is sad so I am asking for your help.
I assume some kind of bacteria, virus or fungi could have entered my skin when getting shaved at the barber shop but that is speculative.
Things I have tried:
- Lots of sunlight during the summer assuming UV would disinfect whatever was going on
- Homemade lotion of coconut oil and neem oil, about 1 tablespoon of cc and 1 drop of neem
- Artificial red light close to the neck
So far nothing has helped and I remain limited in my clothing choice.
I have attached pictures of my neck which I believe is free of any visible sign of infection.
Any ideas are welcomed and I thank you for your input in advance.
