I can say that when I defecate twice a day my health is good. One is okayish. Jamesiv told me a bowel movement after each meal was the goal. It sounds like with his diet and exercise regimen (he mentioned how much it helped) he may have achieved this holy grail of digestion. Haidut told me he felt the same, twice a day he was back in his twenties, three times a day it was highschool. Going to Europe helpd him, he didn't know if it was all the added crap in US foods, moving away from stress or the excitement of travelling and going to a new place.

Fascinating. The only time I have ever reached over 3 times was after eating something irritating, like a night of heavy drinking hoppy beer, or eating a hot curry.

To those that reach 2-3+ a day, how do you do it?

These days 2-3 times a day. I feel good with at least twice a day 3 is good to but after very meal is a little too much for me. I eat 6 meals a day though. I have been a every or almost every meal guy but I feel my digestion is better in the 2-3 range. Thanks for asking

How have you achieved such frequent pooping numbers? I see another post of yours mentioned you had years of constipation. Tell us your secrets.

I will tell you my secrets but I better get "frequent poop" guru status from amazoniac.

The truth isn't that exciting.

The first thing that helped and wasn't a laxative was Cypro but only after around a month of use. Before that it made it worse. I was using 12mg a day split into 3 doses. I think 3-4mg may be enough though.

The second was a month of intense herbal anti biotics, biofilm disruption and h. Pylori treatments. Combined with a regime to increase gut motility mostly using LDN. Followed by a month or so of probiotics and a few month slow taper off of the LDN. This also resolved years of GERD and bloating I had tried everything on.

Then the rest was from general metabolism increase I believe.

I think I pooped so much on cypro because I still had bacterial overgrowth adding lots of bulk and low stomach acid not digesting food sufficiently. But my stomach wasn't as inflamed allowing everything to move along.

When I was constipated I would use a small enema if I didn't poop once a day. Otherwise I would feel awful.

My main trigger was fiber. Now I can pretty much eat anything. It has been 2 years since I did this all and I haven't relapsed yet.

My goals regarding health weren't to eat perfect and live forever. They are to feel good & be resiliant so I can enjoy life and that includes enjoying food. All this has allowed that for me.

Once in a while im 2x a day but since childhood ive been once a day generally like clockwork 10 minutes upon waking.

My health has slowly worsened the past 2 years.


EDIT: and generally speaking even after excluding a food longterm and having it randomly it doesnt really upset my stomach or my BM the next day. I find this extremely weird but im thankful for it.

don't know if this helps but in times where I get 8 hours sleep I get 3 times a day and in times where I just sleep 6 hours only 2 times a day.

Thank you, interesting. Do you notice any other things that affect it, do you eat any fiber, such as the Peat Fiber Holy Trinity™ of, carrot, mushrooms, or bamboo?

Another note regarding it if it helps someone. My transit time is FAST. I eat something for dinner and it will pass the following morning. Not diarrhea either. If i chew my carrot in rough chunks it shows up in the morning. Same with charcoal.

How is it fast if you have only one BM a day? Do you eat one meal a day or very or a liquid diet?

No not really just hybrid of peatish stuff. I graze throughout the day out of convenience and in an effort to stay warmer

Cheese
Kefir
Coconut oil/butter
Oj
Potato
Rice
Steak
Scallop
Liver
Honey
Various fruits
Dark chocolate
Sugar coke/pepsi
Carrot
Some other things here and there.

Its always been short transit time. One variable is that its not alllways the same size. Sometimes its a moderate amount other times its a chit-ton :)

Sometimes i eat mushrooms and rarely a carrot. I am not 100% sure but fiber just increases the volume and not the frequency in my case. What i also observed is that when i do more sports than usual i get less BM. So it seems in my case it depends more on the stress factors like too less sleep or too much exhaustion than on what i eat.

This isn't the ideal thread but I couldn't find an other one. I've been wondering how much posture can affect BM. An example would be sleeping in a bad position, particularly on the belly. It could change posture during the day but also interfere with digestion during the night. The use of squats/ squatting rather than sitting to poop has been discussed, I decided to squat away from the toilets and quickly felt things moving followed by an easy bm.

What was you exact protocol? I have these same issues and they’re driving me insane.

I noticed that since I started eating Medjool Dates, that has increased the frequency of going #2. I think some people experience digestive issues with these and I might be one of them or my system is still adjusting to the Medjool.

I get it daily when promoting dopamine. This is an achievement for me, I had a history of being blocked most of the work days - not in a painful way, just slow transit that indicates an underlying problem.
